Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington but was born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but on screen in The Piano. At age 11 she was the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. The actress was just nine years old and did not have any acting experience. As a teenager, she relocated to America. Paquin appeared as Jane Eyre's main character when she was an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the main role in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played a minor role in the television movie of 1997 adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
