Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. She was born in Passaic (New Jersey) on 19th June 1978. Her father is Dominican and her mother Puerto Rican. She was raised by her mother who lived in Queens. In 2010, she moved together with her family members to the Dominican Republic where they spent seven years. In the Dominican Republic, Zoe discovered a keen interest in performance dance and enrolled in the highly regarded ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy where she studied ballet and other forms of dance. It was an excellent way to exercise an energetic child. But it proved to be an equally lucky start to her career as a professional. At age 17, Zoe and her family returned to the United States where her love for dancing grew and her interest in theater performance became stronger. Zoe's performance in motion pictures has won her the respect of industry leaders such as Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer. Also, she has received admiration from actresses and actors Tom Hanks. Bernie Mac. Kirsten Dunst. Ashton Kutcher. The sky is the limit for her according to many of the co-stars. Directors and producers. Zoe is a young actress with an incredible range and concentration.
